Getting started with Adswave

Five steps from sign-in to a live budget view: organisation, connections, clients and workspaces, monthly budgets, modules. Under ten minutes for a first client.

Adswave goes from sign-in to a live budget view in five steps. Each one is a page in the app, and each is described below in the order you will meet it.

1. Create or join an organisation

Everything in Adswave belongs to an organisation: team members, clients, workspaces, connections and billing. After signing in, create one or accept an invitation to an existing team.

  • Owners and admins manage settings, connections, billing and team access, and see every workspace.
  • Members see the workspaces they were given when invited. Within those, they can add and edit clients, set budgets, use every module in the plan, build and share reports, and create alert rules.
  • If you belong to several organisations, switch with the selector in the dashboard header before changing anything.

The first organisation you create starts a 7-day trial of the Standard plan. No card is taken.

2. Connect Google Ads and Meta Ads

Open Connections and connect the platforms you run. Google Ads uses a redirect-based sign-in. Meta opens a popup and falls back to a full-page redirect if the browser blocks it. Only owners and admins can connect, and each organisation has one Google Ads and one Meta connection.

Sign in with an account that can see the ad accounts you want to work with. On Google that can be a manager account; on Meta it is the Business Manager user with access to the ad accounts. Adswave only reads from both: see Connect Google Ads and Connect Meta Ads for what is requested and why.

3. Create clients and workspaces

A client is one advertiser. A workspace groups clients the way your team works, for example by industry, by region or by the person who owns them. Link each client's Google Ads and Meta accounts so the modules combine spend, results, creative and change history correctly.

Plan limits apply here: Basic manages 5 clients, Standard 12, Pro 35, with one, two or three ad accounts per platform per client. Team seats are unlimited on every plan.

4. Add monthly budgets

Budget pacing compares actual spend with what the budget calls for over the same days. That needs a monthly budget for each linked ad account, entered in the client's dialog under Admin, Clients; the setup checklist's "Set monthly budgets" step goes there. Enter budgets before relying on any pacing colour. Monthly budgets explains what the number is used for and what it is not.

5. Open a module

The Modules page lists every analysis module and the plan it needs. Budget Pacing and Campaigns are on every plan; Keywords and Creative from Standard; Changes and Experiments on Pro, or on Standard with the all-modules add-on. Pick one to open it on the dashboard. Results are always scoped to the active organisation and the selected workspace or client. Budget Pacing can also show every client at once: choose All in the workspace selector.

What happens next

Data appears as soon as accounts are linked and budgets are set. There is no overnight import to wait for: the numbers are fetched from Google and Meta when you open a view and held briefly in memory for speed.

If a connection needs re-authorising, a reconnect dialog appears on the dashboard. If a number looks wrong, check the monthly budget first: it is the one figure in the pacing view that Adswave does not read from the platforms.
